Architectural Geometry

Architectural Geometry will introduce the modern relationship between mathematics and architecture in a visual and hands-on environment. Can simple mechanisms produce complex movement? Can a curved facade be constructed with flat panels? Can aperiodic tilings reduce fabrication costs? We will work towards answering these question using ruler and compass, digital design tools, selected readings, and examples from industry.
