PANEL : CELL

Thursday, November 27th | 6:30pm -8:30pm
Eric Arthur Gallery, 230 College
The PANEL is an independent, student-led series regarding the politics of architectural production and education. For the inaugural event on Thursday, November 27th, PANEL : CELL will examine the design practice of hypercharged, individualized spaces designed to control, detain, and punish.
The first of the series will feature invited panelists Adrian Blackwell, Tings Chak, Nasrin Himada, Leah Henderson, and Chris Lee in an informal discussion as we question and debate the role and complicity of the architect in the coercive reinforcement of norms.
The conversation will take place on November 27th, from 6:30-8:30 in the Eric Arthur Gallery of the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design located at 230 College St. W.
Tings Chak’s recently published graphic novel Undocumented: The Architecture of Migrant Detention will be available for purchase.
