This Tuesday, October 23, the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design welcomes celebrated European architect Antón García-Abril to present the inaugural Kohn Shnier Architects Lecture at 230 College Street.

A founding partner of the renowned firm Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg, Bruce Kuwabara was invested as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2011 and has left an indelible mark on Toronto and Canada, raising the standards and the profile of Canadian architecture throughout the world. His lecture will provide an overview of his completed and current work to demonstrate the role of architecture in thinking about the city, its formation, and its future.
Manuelle Gautrand was born on July 14, 1961 in Marseille, France. She obtained her graduate diploma in Architecture from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Montpellier in 1985. Manuelle worked for 6 years in different architecture studios in Paris, and founded her office, Manuelle Gautrand Architecture in 1991.
On Tuesday, February 26, award-winning landscape architect Martin Rein-Cano of the internationally renowned Berlin-based firm TOPOTEK 1 will present a public lecture at the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design.

The John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design is pleased to welcome Alan Berger — Associate Professor of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture at Massachusetts Institute of Technology — as the 2013 Michael Hough / Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA) Visiting Critic at the University of Toronto. As part of his visit, Berger will present a public lecture on March 5 at 6:30PM.
Rahul Mehrotra is Professor of Urban Design and Planning and Chair of the Department of Urban Planning and Design at Harvard's Graduate School of Design. Founded in 1990 in Mumbai, Mehrotra's firm, RMA Architects, and has designed and executed projects for clients ranging from government and non-governmental agencies to private individuals and institutions. RMA Architects has also initiated several unsolicited projects driven by the firm’s commitment to advocacy in the city of Mumbai.
