26.06.12 - Aziza Chaouni participates in Aesthetics/Anesthetics at the Storefront for Art and Architecture in NYC

Daniels Assistant Professor Aziza Chaouni is participating in the exhibition Aesthetics/Anesthetics at the Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York City.

Aesthetics/Anesthetics
invites audiences to reflect on the performing properties of architectural drawings as well as their purpose and aesthetic qualities, encouraging the architectural community and other creatives to push drawings — and with them architecture — beyond inherited acknowledged values.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is a collection of 30 newly commissioned architectural drawings. Each drawing depicts the Storefront Gallery space at 97 Kenmare, from the perspectives of a diverse group of emerging and established architects worldwide. A series of lectures and workshops that reflect on the purpose of the architectural drawing will be presented during the exhibition.

The exhibition celebrates its opening this evening from 7:00 - 9:00PM at 97 Kenmare Street in New York. For more information visit the Storefront for Art and Architecture website.
