The work of Associate Professor David Lieberman, Visual Studies Assistant Professor Charles Stankievech and Director of the Master of Visual Studies program in Curatorial Studies Barbara Fischer have been included in Volumes, an anthology of recordings, images, essays, and interviews on contemporary artists’ engagement with sound and music. The publication is composed of artists’ projects and essays drawn from a series of exhibitions that took place between 2003 and 2013.

A celebration and book launch will take place Wednesday, July 29 from 5-8 PM at the Hart House Quad at the University of Toronto. The event will be hosted by the Blackwood Gallery, in collaboration with the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery.

The evening will feature food, cash bar and DJ sets by Martin Arnold, Marc Couroux and Mitchell Akiyama.
 
The publication will be available for sale at the launch for $50.00 + tax. CASH ONLY.  

Volumes is edited by Martin Arnold and Christof Migone and is published by Blackwood Gallery in partnership with the Art Gallery of Alberta, Justina M. Barnicke Gallery, MacKenzie Art Gallery, and SBC Gallery of Contemporary Art.
