Keith Bresnahan is a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, University of Toronto. He has previously taught courses in the history and theory of design at the Ontario College of Art and Design and the Alberta College of Art and Design. Trained as an art historian and critical theorist, his work examines the history of architecture and graphic design in relation to broader philosophical and sociopolitical developments. Bresnahan holds degrees in Art History (BA), Theory and Criticism (MA), and Social and Political Thought (PhD). His work has been published in Literary Research, Canadian Art Review, and Space and Culture. He is currently at work on a book about architecture and experience in the eighteenth century, and another about the politics of architectural metaphor from antiquity to the present.
