Van Thi Diep
Van Thi Diep began her education in landscape design at Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Architectural Science, focusing in the landscape architecture option. After her undergraduate studies, she pursued a Master of Landscape Architecture at the University of Toronto. During her studies at the University of Toronto, Van Thi was a recipient of international awards for her design and research work. She received the IFLA Zvi Miller Second Prize in the 2006 International Student Design Competition for her design project on the Hamilton Beach Strip. Her thesis on Event Landscapes – a temporal celebratory landscape for Halifax Harbour is also awarded in the 2007 ASLA Student Awards. She and colleague Zhi Xiao are co-winners for the Second Place in the International Conceptual Design Competition for 5-12 Sichuan Earthquake Memorial 2008. Van Thi is currently working on urban design and landscape architecture projects at du Toit Allsopp Hillier in Toronto.
