The project is an outdoor play yard for pre-school children between three and six years of age. A clearly defined space of movement is inscribed in the site within which multi-use activity nodes have been defined. A figure-8 circuit organizes tricycles, scooters and plasma cars into a fluid centripetal flow. Traffic speed and direction depend on the number and temperament of the children on the track.
This proposal, based on the Catalan ‘Rambla’ converts the existing commemorative meridian of University Avenue into a public pedestrian space with only slight reduction to existing traffic lanes.

A Bunkhouse is a seasonal out-building used for temporary accommodation. It would traditionally combine rustic appearance and modest construction with efficient organization. This project takes a contemporary stance, eschewing rustic expression while maintaining a commitment to efficiency, comfort and modest materials.
