Home Folder
All acount holders have a personal area on the file system called your 'home' directory.
Your Home directory is for your academic work that is not shared and is only available for your access. There is a quota of 4.4 GB on the amount of data you can have in this directory (for full-time Faculty members have Faculty folder limited to at size of 200GB). You will receive a 'disk full error' if you exceed these limits. The data you place in this directory is governed by appropriate-use-of-information policies set out by the University: http://www.provost.utoronto.ca/policy/use.htm
To access your home directory we have made it easy for you by mapping to the space on the file server with a drive letter of "H":

You can also use the path: \\ald.utoronto.ca\root\Homes\Students (Faculty will use: \\ald.utoronto.ca\root\Faculty - Sessional lectures you will see a subfolder called Sessional) Home directories are organized using your username as your home folder name.
If you wish to access your HOME directory from off site you can use FTP.
