Net-Temp

The NET-Temp directory is for temporary storage of files on the network file server. Files left here are automatically deleted after a 24 hour period. This directory, if used carefully, can be a great means for moving files between lab computers, other students' home directories and other course directories.

The directory is available for all students and Faculty to copy and delete files at will. For example, if your home directory is full and you need to move a few files to organize them for burning to a DVD, or you want to give a file to a friend, you could deposit it into this directory and ask them to copy it out to their home directory. To use this directory while on a Faculty computer, copy this path into an Explorer window, or browse to the directory from the Root directory: \\ald.utoronto.ca\root\Net-Temp

Remember this is only temporary space - files will be deleted after 24 hours.  It is also a public directory and others can view and copy files left here.
