Stress-Free Degree Lecture: The True History of Maple Syrup

Uncover the rich Indigenous heritage of maple syrup, the Catholic church’s role in the sugaring business, and the intriguing story behind the Great Maple Syrup Heist in this talk by Peter Kuitenbrouwer (MFC 2019), author of the new book, Maple Syrup:A Short History of Canada's Sweetest Obsession. Kuitenbrouwer is a U of T alumnus and sessional lecturer in forestry at Daniels.
Campus Tree Tours
Saturday, June 20 at 1:00 p.m.. 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
Attendees will be taken on a walking tour around campus where they will be shown different tree species.
