Joanne Tod will present an overview of her painting practice in relation to a new body of work.
Joanne Tod is an artist with an exhibition career spanning more than thirty years. Often engaging with social politics, Tod’s work, although in the tradition of realist painting, resonates with metaphor, allusion and alternate readings.
Tod’s work is represented in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, The Art Gallery of Ontario, the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal and the Vancouver Art Gallery. Her paintings are included in many corporate and private collections, and she has been commissioned to paint numerous official and unofficial portraits.
