10.08.15 - New public art installation by students Dimitrios Karopoulos, John Natanek, and Adrian Bica brightens Jacques Cartier Park in Ottawa

This past Canada Day, Daniels Faculty MArch students Dimitrios Karopoulos and John Natanek, along with Ryerson student Adrian Bica, launched Colourful Shadow Pavillion in Jacques Cartier Park in Ottawa.

The installation was a huge hit. During the festivities hundreds interacted with the piece, playing in it or tracing colourful shadows.

Karopoulos, Natanek, and Bica designed the installation in response to a Request For Proposals put out by the Department of Canadian Heritage. The installation, made from translucent acrylic pieces that create colourful shadows, will remain on display until the end of October.
