After sitting vacant for more than a decade, the prime minister’s official residence could be headed for a major transformation. 

A newly announced national design competition, coupled with a fundraising initiative, seeks ideas for modernizing and revitalizing 24 Sussex Drive in Ottawa.

Architectural historian Peter Sealy spoke with Global News Morning Toronto anchor Miranda Anthistle about the challenges and opportunities involved in restoring the historic property.
