le Convent de la Tourette

David Lieberman is an invited participant to the First International “Music and Architecture” Forum at le Convent de la Tourette November 5-7, 2008.  Professor Lieberman will be presenting his ongoing research and is a co-presenter with the composer and music scholar, Sharon Kanach and the improvisational bass clarinetist, Lori Freedman of a performance piece in the sanctuary.  David Lieberman is currently advising the CIX, Centre Iannis Xenakis and the French Ministry of Culture on the establishment of a permanent experimental studio in the convent – a studio that will be available to architecture and music students from universities from around the world. The round table discussions of the Forum will be followed by a weekend of concerts.
