Kristie MacDonald is a visual artist working in print media, photography, and installation. Her practice engages with notions of the archive and the collection, as well as their roles in the evolving meanings and contextual histories of images and artifacts. She is fascinated by the phenomena of recollection, remembrance, and forgetting, which drive the human urge to collect, memorialize, and revisit material culture. Her work has been exhibited internationally at venues including BABEL Visningsrom for Kunst (Trondheim), Reed Collage (Portland), The International Print Center (New York), and Gallery 44 (Toronto).
