Leon Lai is a licensed architect in Toronto and founder of PINKCLOUD.DK and Svima Inc. He is currently the manager of the Waterfront Toronto Design Review Panel, working with proponent developers, architects, and engineers to ensure development projects are striving to meet the high design and sustainability objectives established for the waterfront area.
At PINKCLOUD.DK, he collaborates with architects in New York and Berlin to examine adaptive reuse in cities. As one of the two partners of Svima Inc., he develops spatial studies on curves and light through an architectural lens. Leon has practiced architecture for offices in New York and Copenhagen. He has taught at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture and is the recipient of the RAIC Medal from University of Toronto. He received an MArch from University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from the University of Waterloo.
