Daniels in Lockdown

Dear Daniels students,

The government regulations that set out the legal requirements for organizations operating in the Grey Zone (Lockdown), including which types of businesses and activities must close and/or restrict their activities, have not yet been released. To ensure we are adhering to the provincial decision made on Friday to place Toronto in the Grey Zone as well as maintaining everyone’s health and safety, we are taking the following measures:

Specifically:

  • The Faculty’s buildings will be locked to the general public.
  • All Faculty researchers may continue with their approved on-campus research plans as long as they continue to follow public health measures and access protocols. Further information can be found on the COVID-19 Research and Innovation Updates page. For additional requests for on-campus research access, please contact the Associate Dean of Research, Liat Margolis.
  • All student fobs allowing access to the buildings have been disabled. Student access to the buildings is restricted to access by appointment only. If you have an access need, please email Naveed Khan.

The delivery of all courses continues remotely and there should be no disruption or changes to any of your classes or deliverables. If any students have concerns about successful completion of their course or thesis work, please speak with your instructors, and we will do our best to ensure that your needs are met if possible.

All information and updates will continue to be updated on the UofT FAQ page for students as well as specific information for Daniels students can be found here. At any time, should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at the registrar’s office.

The above measures take effect as of Monday, November 23 at 12:01 am EST and will last for the remainder of the fall semester.

Thank you for your ongoing support and patience as we navigate these challenging times.
