The first live panel discussion will be moderated by Umbra Design Director Matt Carr and will involve architects John Shnier, Pina Petricone and Ian McDonald who will discuss if / how “Client’s are Changing in Today’s Design Environment”.  Cocktails and Hors D’oeures will be served.

John Shnier co-founded Kohn Shnier Architects in 1987.  John has designed and led the teams responsible for Umbra’s headquarters and Concept Store.  He is an Associate professor at the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape & Design, U of T.



Pina Petricone shares her time as Principal of Giannone Associates Architects and as a professor of Architecture at the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape & Design, U of T.



Ian McDonald established Ian Macdonald Architect to continue this rich modernist tradition of residential works.  He worked for The Thom Partnership Architects from which he inherited his interest in the single family residence.
