Thomas Pucher: Performance Housing

-

Thomas Pucher was born in 1969 in the city of Leibnitz, Austria. In 2005, he founded Atelier Thomas Pucher. Since its founding, flexibility has been a key strength. Internationally prestigious buildings such as the OIC headquarters in Jeddah and the Warsaw Sinfonia are as much part of his portfolio as excellent, highly functional commercial centres, hospitals, schools and research facilities, or elegant villas and hotels, or outstanding museums and theatres. Atelier Thomas Pucher’s designs arise from meticulous research, grasping the spirit of the site and its context to create iconic buildings that stand for themselves. The Atelier Thomas Pucher team includes 20 architects and engineers from all over the world, together with a general planning team of 60 mechanical and structural engineers and consultants in energy and building physics. His exclusive Toronto lecture will focus on a variety of housing projects that speak to the emerging challenges of urbanity at a human scale.
