"Sustainable Housing for the North: Toward Resilience and Self-Reliance" with Professor Ted Kesik

This event is free and open to the public, and is part of the Daniels Faculty’s participation in the Arctic Adaptations: NU Housing competition.

Ted Kesik is a professor of building science in the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design at the University of Toronto with an extensive background in building enclosure design, energy modeling, systems integration and performance assessment. He has been involved with low energy housing design across Canada since 1986 and recently concluded his role as a principal investigator within the NSERC-funded Solar Buildings Research Network. Dr. Kesik continues to practice as a consulting engineer to leading architectural offices, forward thinking enterprises and progressive government agencies. He remains actively involved in technical organizations and is the author of numerous books, studies, reports and articles related to his areas of research and professional practice.

Arctic Adaptations: Nunavut at 15 will represent Canada at the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale.
