Brendan Fernandes is based between Toronto and New York. He has exhibited internationally and nationally including exhibitions at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Art and Design New York, the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, The National Gallery of Canada. He is represented by Diaz Contemporary, Toronto and Seven Art Limited, New Delhi. He completed the Independent Study Program of the Whitney Museum of American Art (2007) and was the Ontario representative for the Sobey Art Award (2010).
This talk is a co-presented by the Blackwood Gallery, UTM, . This fall, Brendan Fernandes is Artist-in-Residence at the Blackwood with generous support from the Jackman Humanities Institute. Special thanks to Johnson Ngo who curated the group exhibition Red, Green, Blue ≠ White at the Blackwood featuring work by Fernandes. The exhibition runs until December 1, 2013.
