Doors Open Toronto: Canadian Landscape Architecture Talk

Fort York Visitor Centre Theatre

Presented by: City of Toronto

Landscape Architect Alissa North speaks to her work as an Associate Professor at the Daniels Faculty and as a practitioner at North Design Office. She’ll introduce works from her upcoming book, Innate Terrain: Canadian Landscape Architecture, which features essays exploring the unique relationship between Canadian landscape architecture and the land’s terrain.

Landscape Architect, Daniels Faculty alumnus and Associé of Montreal’s Claude Cormier + Associés, Marc Hallé explores how some of these big topics are expressed through form and technique by using four Toronto parks as a lens to frame how design innovations can manifest social priorities and evolving civic values into the nuts and bolts of built works of landscape architecture.
