15.04.14 - Victoria Taylor curates exhibition on landscape and place at the Gladstone Hotel

Daniels Faculty Instructor, alumna, and landscape architect Victoria Taylor (MLA 2008) has brought together artists, designers, landscape architects, and chefs, among others, for the second annual Glandstone Grow Op — an exhibition taking place throughout the Gladstone Hotel April 24-27 that promises to make us think differently about the landscapes that shape our cities and our cities’ relationship to the land.

Using video, sound performance, photography, new media, animal parts, the human body, and more, the Grow Op will present more than 25 new works, many by Daniels Faculty alum. Participating artists include: Eileen Finn (MLA 2007), Svetlana Lavrentieva (MLA 2006), Karen May (MLA 2007), regionalArchitects (the firm founded by architect John van Nostrand, BArch 1972), Ben Watt-Meyer (MLA 2012), Julia Smachylo (MUD 2013), and Lynnette Postuma (MLA 2004). A number of current Daniels Faculty students will also showcase work in the exhibition. They include: Carla Lipkin, Sarah MacLean, and Astrid Greaves.
