A number of Daniels Faculty alumni are participating in a four-day-long event at the Gladstone Hotel that will celebrate innovative ideas in the fields of landscape architecture, garden design, art, and place making. This is the inaugural year of Gladstone Grow Op: Exploring landscape and place, which kicked off last night with a public forum on how play can shape one's experience of landscape, presented by Ground magazine and the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects.

This evening (April 26) is the opening reception of the Gladstone Grow Up's exhibition, curated by Victoria Taylor (MLA 2007).

Featured participants include Karen May (MLA 2011) and Justin Miron (MLA 2011), A.K.A. the Chicken Cartel. May and Miron have installed a chicken coop with three live chickens on the Gladstone Hotel's lower green roof (pictured above). Jane Hutton (MLA 2004), Amy Norris (MArch 2010), Cleo Buster (MArch 2010), and Rene Fan (MLA 2010) also have work on display.
