08.11.13 - Book launch for Eb Zeidler's Autobiography titled Buildings Cities Life
A new two-volume, 1,635-page autobiography explores the life, architecture, and philosophy of Eberhard (Eb) Zeidler, from his early life and studies at the Bauhaus to the present—an exceptional career that established him as one of the world's most influential architects.
Eb has worked all over the globe, from England and Vancouver to Shanghai and Dubai. Closer to home, he designed iconic buildings such as the McMaster Health
Sciences Centre, Ontario Place, and Toronto's Eaton Centre. He is a proud Toronto city-builder and supporter of the arts. The University of Toronto awarded Eb with an Honorary Doctor of Architecture in 1989 that recognized his contributions to the City of Toronto.
An upcoming event at the Munk School of Global Affairs will celebrate Eb's remarkable impact on architectural history, and explore some of the contemporary trends that are influencing the design of buildings and cities into the future.
