Associate Professor Shane Williamson spoke about the digital fabrications of Williamson Chong Architects today at Digifest, an international festival held in Toronto celebrating innovation and digital creativity.

The work of Williamson Chong Architects incorporates digital fabrication as a critical engagement of traditional modes of construction and tectonic expression. Surface, which is often associated with the superficial, ornamental, and cosmetic, provides the primary critical territory for these investigations.

Held at Corus Quay on Toronto's Waterfront, Digifest showcases digital media creativity, bringing together academic, industry and the public to experience the convergence of interactive & mobile media, gaming, art and design, architecture, simulation and more. The festival runs until October 20.
