28.10.11 - Gutter to Gulf featured in Ground magazine
Ground, the quarterly magazine of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects, features an article about the Gutter to Gulf initiative in its Fall 2011 issue and displays a related drawing by MLA alumnus Fadi Masoud on its cover (above).
Gutter to Gulf, a research and teaching effort on infrastructure, ecology, and civic space in post-Katrina New Orleans, comprises work by students in the MLA fourth-term studio taught by Jane Wolff and Elise Shelley and in architecture studios taught by Derek Hoeferlin at Washington University in Saint Louis. The Ground article, written by Wolff, Shelley, and Hoeferlin, outlines the project’s ambitions and includes examples of research documentation and design proposals. A PDF of this issue of Ground can be downloaded from the Ground website.
