As part as his travel for research in France, in preparation of Le Nôtre's fourth centenial (2013), Pofessor Georges Farhat will participate in two events.

On December 14, he will be giving a talk on his scholarship at the annual symposium of the CRIT (Cultures, Régulations, Institutions et Territoires), Doctoral School of the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. This talk, entitled "Site et archives en histoire et théorie du paysage" will consider the instrumental functions and dialectics of site and archive in the field of landscape studies.

On December 15, Professor Georges Farhat will be moderating a one-day symposium on the "Paraxodes of Heritage in Critical Fields" that he has co-organized for the University of Paris Sorbonne and the Versailles schools of Architecture and Landscape.
