04.03.13 - How Christina Pascoa — and other architecture students — would shake up our city

Globe and Mail Columnist Lisa Rochon has written an article on "How architecture students would shake up our cities." Seven projects were featured, including Christina Pascoa's proposal for transforming Ontario Place into a public park with open and programmed space that would be usable year round. Pascoa's project was created for the Fall 2012 Urban Design Studio "Design of the Public Sphere — The Case for Ontario Place." The third year Master of Architecture Student imagined wetlands, reforested areas, and beaches that would help to re-naturalize the shoreline and provide an ideal stop-over location for migratory birds.
