17.05.10 - Take Our Sons and Daughters to Work Day 2010
Did you know that U of T has had an Architecture program for over 100 years? This year, the Daniels Faculty took part in the departmental tours and programming for Sons and Daughters day.
Student Participants (ages 8 to 12) experienced the faculty with a tour of the galleries, exhibitions, studios, workshop and photography studio. Students were able to see where “real life” architects, designers, professors and students do some of their most important work. The participants explored how architecture, landscape architecture and urban design work together with a special hands-on craft activity by designing and building their own monuments. Students also had the opportunity to meet with Dean Sommer during their activity.
