Lateral Office (Mason White + Lola Sheppard) scheme titled VELoops was selected for recognition and exhibition. VELoops is a network of loops, knots and nodes that accommodate the multiple scales at which urban infrastructure operates: the street, the neighborhood and the city or district. As routes interest each other a local hub emerges; As loops intersect existing transit, a multi-modal bike loft emerges.

The International competition was sponsored by the Forum for Urban Design. All shortlisted entries will be on exhibit starting November 10 in the Beard Street Warehouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn, NY.
