Putting the Park Back in Parkdale is a publication by Professor Alissa North, with a Foreword by Canadian Architect Editor Ian Chodikoff, documenting student work created in North's Option Studio held in 2008 at the University of Toronto’s Daniels Faculty. The studio examined the community of Parkdale in Toronto's west end to understand, and then adeptly adjust its systems, through strategic injection of landscape and architectural elements. The design proposals envisioned a catalyzing restructuring, to promote a thriving and diverse community.
