Students from three graduate option studios at the Daniels Faculty attended the United States Green Building Council’s annual Greenbuild International Conference and Expo as guests of Sun Central Inc.,  a company developing an innovative, patented “Core Sunlighting System.” Professor David Lieberman is working with Sun Central Inc. on applications of this system and its integration with complete building envelope systems.

In addition, last month, Daniels Faculty students in the “Re Thinking Building Dwelling” Options Studio attended the United States Department of Energy Solar Decathlon in Washington DC September 25–29 to conduct research for their Option Studio projects.  Studio coordinator David Lieberman was a technical consultant to the Living Light project from the University of Tennessee Knoxville led by Faculty advisors Edgar Stach, Barbara Klinkhammer, and James Rose.
