28.10.13 - John J. May presents "Architecture and Statistical Life," at Princeton University's School of Architectrure

Assistant Professor John J. May gave a lecture at Princeton University as part of its School of Architecture's Conversation Series on October 18. His lecture, titled "Architecture and Statistical Life," was followed by a conversation with Princeton Professor Dr. Forrest Meggers.

John J. May is Assistant Professor in the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, and principal of millionsofmovingparts, a Los Angeles-based design practice. He holds a master's degree in architecture from Harvard and a doctorate in environmental studies from UCLA. He is founding director — with Zeynep Celik Alexander — of The Instruments Project, an ongoing investigation into the philosophical-historical conditions surrounding contemporary design technologies. May taught previously at UCLA and SCI-Arc, and was named the 2012 National Endowment for the Humanities Visiting Professor in Architecture at Rice University.
