26.09.11 - Daniels Faculty and students recognized at the Urban Design Awards

Congratulations to all Daniels Faculty, students and alumni whose work was recognized at the Urban Design Awards last week.

Faculty Members Adrian Blackwell and Elise Shelley won an Honourable Mention in the Small Open Spaces category for the NATHAN PHILLIPS SQUARE REVITALIZATION – PODIUM ROOF. The project was designed by PLANT Architect Inc. and Perkins+Will Canada architects in a joint venture, with Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architecture and Adrian Blackwell Urban Projects. Elise Shelley was the project's Landscape Architect.
 
Recent graduates Drew Adams, Fadi Masoud, Karen May, Denise Pinto, Jameson Skaife won an Award of Excellence in the Student Projects category for FEED TORONTO: GROWING THE HYDROFIELDS.
 
Students Omar Aljebouri, Natalie Dubois, Avery Guthrie, Silvia Gonzalez, Miriam Ng, Alicia Reinhart, Danielle Sernoskie, Tristan Thom won an Honourable Mention in the Student Projects category for MaMmaL: A MOBILE MEDIA LAB FOR REGENT PARK FOCUS, the final project of an option studio taught by Adrian Blackwell.
