14.04.11 - Bureau E.A.S.T. finalist for international competition

Bureau E.A.S.T. team, which includes Abdelali Karkabi (Rehabilitation Engineer), Atelier 3am (Architect), Bollinger + Grohmann Ingenieure, Hashim Sarkis Studio (Urban Design Consultant), Marco Schmidt (Water Expert), Rajaa Mejjat (Economist), and Transsolar (Climate Engineers) is among 8 finalists in an international design competition. Among the jury members are Rodolpho Machado, David Chipperfield and Marc Angelil.


The Agency of Partnership for Progress (APP), with its implementing partner, the Agency for the Development and Rehabilitation of the city of Fez (ADER-Fez), issued a competition for the design of a site in the Medina of Fez, Morocco, known as Place Lalla Yeddouna.  The competition was conducted in the context of an international development program funded by the United States of America, acting through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), in accordance with the Millenium Challenge Compact (the “Compact”) signed on August 31, 2007, between the United States of America and the Kingdom of Morocco.
