17.02.11 - Normal wins architectural design competition for IT campus in India

Normal has been selected as one of the five winning firms in the Spiretec Design Competition. The brief asked for the design of 62,750 square meters mixed-use area as part of an IT office complex located in Greater Noida, New Delhi, India. The program included: housing, hotel, library, auditorium, convention centre, bank facilities, wellness centre, clubs, restaurants, and office spaces.



Normal's proposal, titled "Red is Green", imagines the site as a composition of hallways and rooms, and reintroduces primal principles of architecture and urbanism to Greater Noida. It emphasises the use of local materials, and aims to create a space that is at the same time embedded within its cultural context and rich in its appearance.
