Daniels received two honorable mentions in the major international design competition entitled 'Rising Tides'. The San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) hosted the open international design competition for ideas responding to the sea level rise in San Francisco Bay and beyond.

The projects, 'About Rising Tides: It's The Delta Stupid' by Drew Adams (MArch3) and Fadi Masoud (MLA3) with a special thanks to Jane Wolff and 'Liquid Cities' by Ghazal Jafari (MUD Alumni) and academic advisor, Mason White.

The two projects were selected from one hundred and thirty open submissions that included professionals and practicionars from eighteen countries. The work is currently displayed at the historic San Francisco Ferry Building.
