04.12.12 - BAAS Director Brian Boigon publishes essay in Log 26

Brian Boigon, Director of the Bachelor of Arts, Architectural Studies Program at Daniels, has recently published an essay entitled "Wild Physics: Design at the Outskirts of Town" for the 26th issue of the journal Log.

As outlined on the journal's website, Log 26 "draws together an array of writers who offer ideas for understanding, judging, inspiring, and making architecture." In his essay, Boigon dives into the digital abyss of rendering software, architecture and  the simultaneity of the video gamer activity. He rips through the current software packages used in the design studio and proposes that we look at the entire "game-scape" for clues to handling modularity, movement and anti-immersive space.
