08.02.11 - Mason White awarded two ACSA Faculty Design Awards
Professor Mason White and Lola Sheppard's Lateral Office has been awarded two ACSA 2010-11 Faculty Design Awards for the projects "Water Economies / Ecologie: Farming the Salton Sea" and "Icelink: Occupying the Temporal Seam."
The ACSA Architectural Education Awards honour excellence and distinguished achievement in recognition of those who have advanced the art and science of the field. These award-winning professors inspire and challenge students, contribute to the profession's knowledge base, and extend their work beyond the borders of academia into practice and the public sector.
The 2010-11 Faculty Design Award represents theoretical investigations advancing the general understanding of the discipline of architecture. The awards recognize exemplary built and unbuilt work that reflects upon practice and research.
An Awards Ceremony, including a visual presentation of the winners' accomplishments, will be showcased at the ACSA 99th Annual Meeting on March 3-6, 2011 held in Montreal, Canada.
