The Daniels Faculty would like to extend its congratulations to long-time friend and supporter Elizabeth Baird. The food writer, columnist and U of T alumna was recently named a member of the Order of Canada "for her contributions to the promotion of Canada's diverse food heritage, as author and former food editor of Canadian Living magazine."

The Order of Canada, one of our country’s highest civilian honours, was established in 1967, during Canada’s centennial year, to recognize a lifetime of outstanding achievement, dedication to community and service to the nation. Baird is one of 16 U of T alumni to be recently appointed members of the Order of Canada this year.
