02.10.12 - Aziza Chaouni participates in a symposium at Ain Shams University in Egypt
On September 30th, Assistant Professor Aziza Chaouni participated in a symposium at Ain Shams University in Egypt. Entitled "Integrated Urbanism Dialogues II — On Resilience," this symposium "seeks to explore the potential of integrating the different disciplinary approaches to resilience in the urban context of the MENA region."
Chaouni participated as a speaker in Session 2 "Resilience Through Landscape Planning & Ecosystem Design." This session asked: "What are the lessons learnt from integrating green infrastuctue and landscaping into the master planning of settlements? How can landscape planning support the adaptive capacities in meeting actual and critical social and ecological challenges? How can experiences from elsewhere be adapted within the MENA context and vice versa?"
