Earlier this year, Daniels Alumni Drew Adams (MArch 11) and Fadi Masoud (MLA 10) along with teamate Daniel Ibañez won the First Prize in the Arizona Challenge competition. They recently returned from presenting the work at the Arizona State Univeristy Phoenix, Urban Research Laboratory where the awards ceremony was held. Mayors, City and State officials, the Arizona State Land Commissioner Maria Baier and Phoenix's design community were among those present. The awards were presented by Two World Community Foundation founder and competition organizer Vernon Swaback, FAIA. The team had the opportunity following the awards to meet with visionary urbanist Paolo Soleri.
