The 4th edition of the TVO Big Ideas Best Lecturer Competition is underway!
Nominate your favourite professor between September 8 and October 12 and you'll automatically be entered into a contest to win one of 2 iPod touch devices.
TVO's Best Lecturer Competition celebrates the most engaging lecturers in Ontario. The competition, sponsored by TD Insurance Meloche Monnex, allows for anyone to nominate a professor in any Ontario registered post-secondary institution. TVO staff and a panel of judges review the submissions. The lectures of the top 10 finalists will air on TVO beginning in February 2009. The winning lecturer is chosen by viewers and an independent jury, and the winner's school is awarded a $10,000 TD Insurance Meloche Monnex scholarship.
There are 2 ways to nominate your favourite professor:
Email bl@tvo.org with the subject line "BL 2009 Nomination". Include in the body the full name of the professor, the university/college and department where they teach, a short description (between 50 and 100 words) detailing the reason(s) a professor should be nominated as Best Lecturer, and the full name, email address and telephone number of the person submitting the nomination.
Nominate through your mobile device by texting PROF to 333111. After submitting the nomination form, a TVO producer may respond by email for more details.
