Daniels Assistant Professor Aziza Chaouni is participating in the Archrival project at the Venice Biennale.
Archrival was selected as one of six teams to exhibit at the Australian Pavilion for the 13th Venice International Architecture Biennale in 2012. The installation Arena Calcetto will form part of the Australian exhibition titled Formations; New Practices in Australian Architecture, curated by Anthony Burke & Gerard Reinmuth with Toko Concept Design.
Arena Calcetto will be a site-specific sculptural installation located in a hidden courtyard in the Giardini, bounded by the Australian, French, Czech & Slovak and Uruguayan national pavilions. The interactive arena will comprise a series of tall, sculptural objects where people can meet, play and hold events.
