23 to 27 April David Lieberman visits Knoxville as technical advisor to University of Tennessee Knoxville College of Architecture’s Living Light entry to the United States Department of Energy 2011 Solar Decathlon to be held in Washington DC in 23 September through 03 October.
25 April Professor Walter Hood University of California Berkeley and Professor David Lieberman University of Toronto serve as external reviewers for thesis reviews for the first graduating class in the Masters of Landscape Architecture program at University of Tennessee Knoxville.

The SPACE between NOTES, a continuing series of evolving lectures and performances furthering the research work of David Lieberman in Music and Architecture, as presented as a major address at the MAGIS VIII International Film Festival in Gorizia, Italy in March of 2010, has been published in Cinema, Architecture, Dipositif.


Research Through Making  Taubman College University of Michigan


Resonant Chamber, a development of the Dancers’ Drum, one of several ongoing experiments in the design and construction of architectural scale musical instruments and installations, has received funding from the Research Through Making program instituted by Dean Monica Ponce de Leon.  Prinicipal Investigator Associate Professor Geoffrey Thun University of Michigan, Associate Professor David Lieberman University of Toronto, and Wes McGee Director of FAB Lab University of Michigan are joined by collaborators Raj Patel Arup Acoustics New York, industry partner Vector Foiltec, and Angela Kane Chair Department of Dance University of Michigan.
