Daniels Students Nelson Cheng and Richard Lam (3rd Year M.Arch.) were one of three finalists in the first stage of a two-stage student ideas competition for the rejuvenation of the south facade of 80 Bloor Street West, a commercial centre and 19-storey office building in Toronto's Yorkville district (See 80bloorstreetwest.com). The design competition was open to architecture students in the undergraduate and graduate programs at Ryerson University, the University of Toronto, and the University of Waterloo, along with Building Science students at Ryerson. Clinton Langevin and Amy Norris (4th Year M.Arch. Thesis) received an honorable mention.


The other finalists include Jae Pil Yoo (4th YearArchitectural Science) Ryerson University and the team of Aidan Mitchelmore and Dennis Tang, 2nd Year, University of Waterloo School of Architecture.
