11.11.09 - Larry Wayne Richards in 'STRUCTURES' Episode

Rogers Television (Toronto, channel 10; Scarborough, channel 63) has produced a 30-minute program on the University of Toronto Scarborough as part of its architecture series entitled Structures. Professor Larry Wayne Richards was interviewed for and will appear in the episode to be aired in the new year [not Thursday, November 19th at 8:30pm]. 

 

Richards is author of a comprehensive guide book on U of T architecture, from Princeton Architectural Press, which includes a chapter on the Scarborough campus. Established in 1964 as Scarborough College and now known as University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC), the campus is best known for the iconic Scarborough College building by John Andrews, completed in 1966. The campus, which accommodates more than 10,000 students, includes numerous other works of contemporary architecture by firms such as Baird Sampson Neuert, Brian MacKay-Lyons, Montgomery Sisam, Moriyama and Teshima, Michael H. K. Wong, Stantec, and Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg.
