25.11.09 - Jane Wolff presents Pontchartrain Park & Gutter to Gulf projects in New Orleans

In late October, Jane Wolff led a tour of Pontchartrain Park and Gentilly Woods, two New Orleans neighbourhoods still recovering from Hurricane Katrina, for to public officials, planners, community activists, and neighbourhood residents. The aim of the tour was to present the Pontchartrain Park + Gentilly Woods Landscape Manual and other community rehabilitation projects by Longue Vue House and Gardens, a nonprofit foundation working toward landscape rehabilitation in the city. In addition, she presented work on Pontchartrain Park, the Lower 9th Ward, and the Gutter to Gulf project, a collaboration between the Daniels MLA program and Washington University, at the conference New Orleans Under Reconstruction: The Crisis of Planning, held at Tulane University.
